Important Academic Deadlines
R'Web Shutdown
The campus must bring our student information system down for a necessary infrastructure upgrade.
* Winter 2021 registration through self-service will close on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 10:00 PM instead of 11:59 PM
* Self-service will be unavailable from Friday, January 15, 2021 at 10:00 PM through Tuesday, January 19, 2021, until the upgrade has been completed. This includes access to ordering transcripts, viewing and paying bills, accessing financial aid information and more. Please plan accordingly to complete all your business needs by 4:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2021.
The system closure will also impact, during this time, the ability for advisors and staff across campus to fully service you. We understand that any disruption of self-service impacts you and so we ask that you plan ahead to minimize this impact.

Update on end of Fall MyForms (Enrollment Adjustment Forms)
Due to the 2-week campus closure, the Registrar Team is still processing Enrollment Adjustment Forms from the Fall 2020 quarter. Please allow 1 - 2 weeks to complete the review and processing of these forms: term withdrawals, S/NC, and drop course.
Any enrollment modification (add/drop) course requests for the Winter 2021 term will be submitted through the Enrollment Adjustment form (myforms.ucr.edu<http://myforms.ucr.edu>) up to week 8 of the quarter. We would like to remind you of some changes to the drop, Satisfactory/No Credit, and withdraw deadlines for the winter quarter that differ from previous quarters as we address enrollment and academic concerns due to COVID-19. If you have any questions about this or the following message below, please contact your primary advisor via email or schedule an appointment to discuss requesting any of these options toward your Winter 2021 enrollment to ensure that they are beneficial and appropriate.
A student may drop a course (receive no "W") without prior approval no later than the end of the second full week of instruction. From the third through the end of the eighth full week of instruction, a course may be dropped with the approval of the advisor. Any course drop which would reduce the undergraduate student's academic load to less than 12 units must be approved by the college. Any withdrawals (with a "W") after the eighth week will require college approval. The final date to petition for conversion from letter grade to S/NC or vice versa will be the end of the eighth full week of instruction.
This change in policy is also reflected on the UCR Academic Calendar at https://registrar.ucr.edu/calendar#last_day_to
This academic change has no impact on the University of California refund policy (https://registrar.ucr.edu/tuition-fees/refunds) for University Withdrawals.

Mathematics Advisory Examination (MAE) Testing Window
The MAE testing window for winter quarter 2021 registration is now closed. Students may take the proctored MAE for spring registration from February 1 until March 25. Information about proctoring windows can be found at: https://arc.ucr.edu/mae#testing_windows. As a reminder, ALEKS is always open for students to take their initial assessment and work through the preparation modules. It is the proctored testing that occurs only during the testing windows.

Wait Listing Courses
A student who receives an open seat notification has 24-hours to enroll, or be automatically dropped from the waitlist. If you are on a waitlist, we recommend monitoring your email twice a day. The waitlist system is automated and will immediately trigger an open seat notification to the next student on the waitlist. For students who miss their 24-hour deadline, they will need to add themselves to the waitlist again. Tutorials on how to add yourself on a waitlist and what to do if you miss your 24-hour deadlines, are available: https://registrar.ucr.edu/registering/waitlist.

New Advising/College Outreach Fieldwork Opportunity:
GSOE has recently teamed up with the Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) and is seeking undergraduate students with a Junior and Senior standing who are interested in working with high school students in and from the Inland Empire. This work would include supporting EAOP’s effort to increase the number of educationally disadvantaged students who have the opportunity to achieve a post-secondary education and/or who are prepared to matriculate to a four-year college or university. Students will work closely with a Regional Coordinator in providing academic guidance to EAOP students and assist in event/activity registration.
If you are interested in participating in this opportunity beginning in the 2021 winter quarter, please contact Sarah Juarez our Community Learning Coordinator at: gsoelearningcoord at ucr.edu<mailto:gsoelearningcoord at ucr.edu>.
