School of Education is hiring a marketing assistant!

The primary responsibilities of this role, under the direction and oversight of the Director:
Write news items, success stories, stories, and profiles on SOE students, faculty, and alumni
Create content including social media graphics, flyers, invitations for SOE’s communication vehicles: website, print, social media, etc.
Assist with social media and email campaigns (create, manage lists and distribute)
Edit short videos for marketing and outreach
Design flyers, promotional materials, and ability to edit photos for website and email newsletter
Research target audiences/demos and pull analytics for review
Cover events as needed
General administrative and marketing office support

Skills/Requirements:

  *   Must be social media savvy, have strong writing and communication skills
  *   Proficient in Microsoft Office, and Abode Creative Suite including InDesign/Photoshop, Canva, and video editing program
  *   Experience with, or ability, to learn email UCR supported marketing and outreach programs including MailChimp, Slate CRM, and CMS including Drupal
  *   Dependable, organized with a positive attitude
  *   Attention to detail is a must
  *   Work samples will be requested


Hourly pay approximately $15 per hour
Approximately 12-15 hours per week
