UCR Leadership Week-Student Participation Opportunity

The Office of Student Life is launching a new program this quarter called UCR Leadership Week scheduled from Monday May 10th through Thursday May 13th (week 7). The goal of this program is to provide a week’s worth of workshops to help students redefine what leadership means to them and teach new skills to help students realize their leadership potential. The theme for this year’s Leadership Week is Community Action, with a focus on helping students see their involvement in the community as a critical step toward becoming a leader. GSOE has been invited to participate in this event to present a workshop and would like to invite GSOE students to talk about leadership and community action through your lens. If you would be interested in sharing your perspective on leadership/community action, sharing an inspirational story about making change in the community, talking about a program and how students can get involved, helping students identify critical social issues and strategizing solutions, cultural competency and social justice, please let us know by sending an email to edundergrad at ucr.edu<mailto:edundergrad at ucr.edu> by Wednesday May 5th. Students who participate in this event may also be able to count their participation towards their 40-Hours of Fieldwork completion.
