Dear colleagues,

The 2025 UC Tech Annual Conference, held from June 25-27 in Riverside, was
a fantastic three days of connection and learning. Thank you to everyone
who joined us. We’re excited to share some highlights from this year’s
conference and news about the 2026 host campus!

Passing the Buck: You’re Next, UC Merced!

The final day of the conference, June 27, culminated with the annual Pass
the Buck ceremony. Conference Chair, Azra Ayers, and CIOs Matthew Gunkel
(UC Riverside) and Molly Greek (UC Office of the President) passed the buck
to UC Merced’s representatives: Deputy CIO, Christy Snyder and UC Tech
Ambassador, Rachel Bellofatto.

More information about next year’s UC Tech conference will be shared by UC
Merced as details become available. Stay tuned!

At this year’s UC Tech Awards, we celebrated two individuals and 12 teams
from across the UC system. It was a wonderful evening, filled with
inspiration and a powerful reminder of the impact our community makes.
