Via Benefits – Emeriti and Retirees Can Enroll in KPSA through Via Benefits

Effective September 1, 2024, emeriti, retirees and family members living outside of California who meet the Medicare Coordinator Program (MCP) eligibility requirements can enroll in Kaiser Permanente Senior Advantage (KPSA) plans through Via Benefits. The previous process of enrolling directly with Kaiser Permanente and confirming the completion of the enrollments with Via Benefits for health reimbursement arrangement (HRA) setup became invalid on September 1, 2024.

Members living in Kaiser service areas should visit https://my.viabenefits.com/uc to complete online enrollments or call 1-855-359-7381 for enrollment assistance and/or to enroll with a Via Benefits Advisor. HRA accounts will be set up following enrollments.

Members enrolled with Kaiser before September 1, 2024, do not need to do anything and will remain enrolled with Kaiser and maintain their HRA. However, if a member changes to another medical plan, and then wishes to return to Kaiser later, the member must enroll with Via Benefits directly to maintain HRA eligibility. Enrolling directly with Kaiser after September 1, 2024, will void their HRA eligibility.
