[UCRRA] In Response to Recent Messages

Dear UCRRA members,

In light of the recent email responses to the UCRRA mailing list regarding membership payments, I am writing to confirm that your messages have been received I have been reaching out to each member directly to better assist you with your inquiries. If there are any additional inquiries or questions regarding your membership, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at cristina.otegui at ucr.edu<mailto:cristina.otegui at ucr.edu> and I would be happy to assist you. We kindly ask for members not to "reply to all" to the UCRRA listserv as personal information can get sent out to all members.

Due to COVID-19 and campus adjusted operations, mail from the campus has had some delays and the association has opened up a P.O. Box which is the preferred method for mailing. The UCRRA P.O. Box details were sent out via email in June to all members and I have included it below for easy access along with the online PayPal payment option.

How to Complete Your Membership Renewal

We are thrilled to announce that we are now accepting online payments using PayPal. To complete your membership renewal, please refer to the following two methods available.

Please visit the webpage https://emeriti-retirees.ucr.edu/document/ucrra-ucrea-application to access the UCR Retirees' and Emeriti Associations Membership Application form.


1.    By Email: Please email the completed membership application form to retirees at ucr.edu<mailto:retirees at ucr.edu>. The Retirement Center will send a PayPal invoice via email to make your membership payment. Please note, the PayPal invoice will provide the option to pay by credit card and does not require a PayPal account.

2.    By U.S, Mail: Please mail your check (payable to UCRRA) and the completed membership application to:

do you remember our rmsil conversation on or about 8/21/20, re a $20 check for my enrollment in UCREA?  i wrote check #3076 on 7/28 to UCR Emerit Ass. for $20.  apparently, you did not receive it at that time, and emailed to remind me to do so.

however, as i was writing this check, i received another emai from you, saying that it had been received (late, because of a ucr mailroom glitch, i believe)

well, my current bank statement shows that check to be outstanding

please, can you tell me what's happened to that check?  and how would you like me to proceed?
