The UCR Retirees’ and Emeriti Associations invites you to attend their
*in-person* Fall Luncheon on *Friday, October 9, 2026 from 11:30 a.m. –
1:00 p.m. *in the Alumni & Visitors Center at UCR. We are thrilled to have
Dr. Nigel Hughes, Professor Emeritus of Earth and Planetary Sciences, give
a presentation at our luncheon. The presentation title is *“Retiring to
Prison: Teaching in the UCR LIFTED Program by Dr. Nigel Hughes.”*



*Luncheon Schedule*

11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Social

12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Presentation



The luncheon will begin with a social starting at 11:30 a.m. followed by
the UCR Retirees’ (UCRRA) and Emeriti Associations announcements. Our guest
speaker presentation will begin at 12:10 p.m. Lunch will be provided and
assorted wines will be served.

This event will also feature:

·       *The UCR Healthcare Facilitator* will be tabling at this event to
provide resources or answer questions on UC retiree and emeriti health
plans.

·       A *donation drive for the UCR Student R’Pantry* which supports
students with emergency non-perishable food, personal hygiene, household,
and childcare items. We will be providing a high need item list closer to
the event for members to learn what to bring if they wish to donate at the
luncheon.



The cost of entry is *$25 per person for UCRRA and UCREA active dues-paying
members and their guests* and *$30 per person for non dues-paying members*.
