The Estate Planning Webinar will be presented by Fidelity Investments and
the UCR Office of Gift Planning on *Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 1:00 –
2:30 p.m. Pacific Time via Zoom. *Emeriti, retirees, staff and faculty are
welcome to join us at this online session.



*Fidelity Investments*

Workplace Financial Consultant Adrian Rodriguez and Vice President in
Advanced Planning and Former Estate and Tax Planning Attorney Fred Chang
will cover the essential concepts, current tax law highlights for 2026, and
updates related to the SECURE Acts. Participants will learn about key
estate planning documents, how assets are transferred, the importance of
beneficiary designations and trust funding, and when to update an existing
plan, along with tips for discussing plans with loved ones.



*UCR Office of Gift Planning*

Senior Director of Gift Planning Matt Durkan will share how estate planning
can reflect your values and create lasting impact at UC Riverside. This
presentation highlights how legacy planning supports students, research,
and the university’s public mission—connecting what matters most to you
with UCR’s future. You’ll also learn why many UCR community members choose
UC Riverside as a trusted partner for their legacy.
