Dear Members of the UCR Emeriti Association,



On behalf of the UCR Emeriti Association Nominating Committee, the UCREA Executive Board invites its members to vote and elect a slate of candidates that includes the officer roles of President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.

Each position serves a two-year term which begins on July 1, 2025.

The candidates for the UCREA Executive Board positions are:



President

·         José Wudka: current Vice President and Professor of Physics, Emeritus



Vice President

·         To Be Announced



Secretary

·         Dallas Rabenstein: current Executive Board Member and Professor of Chemistry, Emeritus



Treasurer

·         Bradley Hyman: current Treasurer and Professor of Biology, Emeritus


The UCREA Board Election will take place during the UCR Retirees' and Emeriti Spring Luncheon on May 16. If you have not registered for the Spring Luncheon, you can register online using the link below:

Voter Expectations

UCREA slate of candidates: Elections will be by voice vote during the Spring Luncheon meeting on May 16. Members who cannot attend the meeting who wish to vote on these nominations are invited to cast an absentee ballot by emailing their vote to the UCR Retirement Center Director no later than May 15, 2025, at: cristina.otegui at ucr.edu<mailto:cristina.otegui at ucr.edu>.  Because the nomination for Vice President is currently unfilled, any absentee ballots received prior to the meeting on May 16 will be applicable only to the other three offices.
