United Healthcare – Cyberattack Notification on Business Partner Mom’s Meals Sent August 15, 2023

United Healthcare notified the University of California on August 15, 2023 that PurFoods, LLC (doing business as Mom’s Meals), a business partner for the UnitedHealthcare Healthy at Home, experienced a cyberattack between January 16, 2023, and February 22, 2023. After a thorough investigation, one hundred twenty (120) impacted UC Medicare Choice plan members were identified on August 1, 2023.

Mom’s Meals will be sending notification letters (a draft sample can be viewed at: https://live-ucr-retirees.pantheonsite.io/document/moms-meals-draft-member-notice) to affected participants in the coming weeks. Mom’s Meal is not aware of actual or attempted misuse of personal information but will offer members twelve months (12) of complimentary credit monitoring and identity restoration services through Kroll. An activation link will be provided in the letter, or members can visit https://www.info.krollmonitoring.com/ for more information.
