Re:         Update on Accellion Data Breach and What to Do to Protect Yourself

We are writing to share additional information and updates from the Accellion Data Breach that UC had announced on March 31, 2021. UC is one of the several institutions targeted by a nationwide cyber-attack on Accellion which includes the theft of sensitive university files and confidential personal information of UC community members. While the UC is currently working with legal and federal law enforcement and third-party vendors to investigate and assess the incident, they would like to alert the UC community to take protective actions such as complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection.
