<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:115%">On June 19, 2026, the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) administrator, WEX, mailed a notice to FSA plan members regarding unsubstantiated claims from plan year 2024. As a recap, in June 2026,
WEX mailed a communication reminding employees of the need to take action regarding unsubstantiated FSA claims from the 2024 plan year. The UCPath Center also sent a similar communication through a Targeted Mass Email (TME), reminding employees to resolve
these issues by submitting the required documentation to substantiate their claims.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:115%">UCOP has advised that a TME will be sent to employees who have not yet taken the necessary action regarding their unsubstantiated 2024 FSA claims. The unsubstantiated claim amounts will be treated
as taxable income and will impact their upcoming paychecks:</p>

<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:115%;mso-list:l2 level1 lfo3">
<b>Biweekly employees</b> will see this reflected in their November 18, 2026 paycheck. If the 2024 unsubstantiated amount is equal to or greater than $1,500, the taxable amount will be split across two pay cycles (November 18, 2026, and December 2, 2026).</li><li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:115%;mso-list:l2 level1 lfo3">
<b>Monthly employees</b> will see this reflected in their October 30, 2026 paycheck. If the 2024 unsubstantiated amount is equal to or greater than $1,500, the taxable amount will be split across two pay cycles (October 30, 2026, and December 1, 2026).</li></ol>
