The UC Retirement Savings Program (UC RSP), managed by Fidelity Investments, offers a full range of investment options to help employees build their retirement savings. The University of California is constantly evaluating the offerings, and, from time to time, adjusting the lineup to better serve employee investment needs.

There are three changes coming to the investment options in the UC RSP, effective April 1, 2026. One new investment option will be added, and two current investment options will be removed.

New investment option

Beginning April 1, 2026, employees will have a new investment option in the UC RSP fund lineup:

· The UC Money Market Fund will seek to maximize current income, with a strong focus on protecting principal. Investment options being removed

When the market closes (generally 1:00 p.m. PT / 4:00 p.m. ET) on March 31, 2026, two investment options currently offered through the UC RSP will no longer be available:

· The UC Savings Fund Category: Short‑Term Bond

· The UC TIPS Fund Category: Inflation‑Protected Bond

As a result, all existing balances and future contributions for each of these two funds will be transferred to another investment option in the UC RSP with similar investment objectives, as determined by the University of California. See the following chart for details.

The transfer of balances will appear as an exchange on member account histories and quarterly statements.
The dates shown are based on the timing and accuracy of a variety of factors, including the transfer of data, receipt of instructions, and receipt of assets. Changes in any of these factors may result in changes to the dates and timing, including the dates on which, and thus the prices at which, assets in member accounts are sold and/or reinvested.
What do employees need to do?
Employees do not need to take any action. However, if they are invested in a fund that is being removed and would like to make changes to their account or investment options before these changes occur, they can log on to Fidelity NetBenefits® at https://netbenefits.com<https://netbenefits.com/> or call a Fidelity representative at 1‑866‑682‑7787, Monday–Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (PT).
