The UCPath Center has updated the policy regarding requests for an additional month of benefits for a retiring employee and advised that effective immediately; location department HR representatives may submit a screenshot from the employee UCRAYS Progress Chart (see image below) as supporting documentation noting the blue chevron in 'at least Stage 1, Retirement Initiated' processing stage.

Locations are no longer required to wait until the employee reaches Step 5 (Sign and Submit Your Election Form) before submitting a Benefits Extension Request Due to Retirement.

The retiring employee may log into individual UCRAYS account to obtain and share a screenshot of the Retirement Progress Chart at Stage 1 or after to provide to department HR representatives.
