Reminder! New Staff (Non-Faculty) Retirement Gift Vendors, Mandatory Training Sessions

DBRs, please review and respond accordingly to the information below.  Do not reply to this email.  Please
send a separate email with questions to benefits at ucr.edu<mailto:benefits at ucr.edu>.

As a reminder, please submit the Name, Department and Contact information to benefits at ucr.edu<mailto:benefits at ucr.edu> for each department representative responsible for managing the retirement gift program for Staff employees only and assisting retiring employees with gift selections by Wednesday, March 12, 2025.  Retirement gift administrators will be added to the Master List for each vendor and required to attend mandatory systems traning.  Once department representatives' information is received, we will send a ZOOM calendar invitation for the training sessions noted below.

To reiterate, the UCR campus will introduce, for Staff employees only, new Retirement Gift Program vendors, MTM Recognition Awards and Corporate Traditions Gift Card services who will replace OC Tanner effective April 1, 2025.  Additionally a new campus Retirement Gift Program policy will be implemented on April 1, 2025 which will be discussed after the Corporate Traditions training session. The new policy taking effect in April will emphasize departments may only utilize MTM Recognition (gift selection) or Corporate Tradition (gift card selection) as the sole resource for employee retirement gifts.  Purchase requests for gift cards from outside resources will be denied.

Please save the dates below to attend the training.


     *   MTM Recognition  will host training on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.


     *   Corporate Traditions will host training on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

These will be the only training sessions offered with no others scheduled after the program launches on April 1, 2025.
