The UC Riverside Central HR Benefits Office offers confidential retirement counseling for Faculty and Staff members interested in retiring soon or understanding retirement benefit options.  We invite Faculty and Staff members desiring retirement counseling to please send an email to benefits at ucr.edu<mailto:benefits at ucr.edu> to schedule a confidential appointment.  If planning to retire July 1, 2025, please contact us now to review and finalize your retirement processing before April 30th.
During this meeting we will:

*         Assist with signing in to the UC Retirement At Your Service (UCRAYS) account

*         Run retirement estimates and thoroughly review the benefits information

*         Review and explain employment, earnings, and income options

*         Review retiree health coverage eligibility, plan options, and costs

*         Explain the Medicare enrollment requirement and coordination of Medicare benefits with UC medical coverage

*         Discuss the systemwide and campus specific retirement processes

*         Assist with initiating retirement elections and monitoring the progress through to completion
*         Maintain confidentiality until the employee announces to management personnel the intent to retire
*         Review and advise of the Rehired Retiree process, timing, and impacts to medical coverage and Medicare (if eligible)

UC Riverside employees receive campus specific benefits that are not shared outside of our office.  We want to ensure there is a clear understanding of all benefits available, the retirement process, required documents, the UC Riverside Retiree Association benefits, and the ongoing campus assistance available throughout retirement and for retiree survivors.

Faculty and Staff members enrolled in the UC Retirement Plan (UCRP Pension Choice) are welcome to schedule an appointment to review retirement benefits and/or assist with initiating retirement elections.
