New Expanded Sick Leave capabilities are now live in UCPath. Please clear your browser's cache before logging into UCPath.

The project expands paid sick leave to part-time and per-diem employees, provides a mechanism for employees to designate paid sick leave as protected for qualified reasons and extends the period during which paid sick leave may be reinstated to comply with new systemwide policy. The policy changes to PPSM-2.210 (Absence from Work) and APM - 710 (Leaves of Absence/Paid Sick Leave/Paid Medical Leave) were issued on May 31, 2024, and took effect on January 1, 2025.

Changes:
*   Expanded eligibility, ensuring that part-time employees have access to paid sick leave
*   Provisioned paid sick leave banks for per-diem employees
*   Provisioned a flag so that an employee may designate usage of paid sick leave as protected for a qualifying reason
*   Extended the period during which paid sick leave may be reinstated if an employee is reemployed after a separation
