UCOP was notified that between February 25 and February 26, 2024, Calibrated Healthcare, which provides administrative and clinical healthcare services to Optum Medical Groups in California and SeaView IPA, experienced a privacy breach that impacted some Health Net members.



Specifically, twenty-one (21) Health Net UC Blue and Gold HMO plan members were affected by the Optum Medical group incident. No members from SeaView IPA were impacted. Those affected will receive a notification letter<https://hr.ucr.edu/sites/default/files/2024-07/hn-calibrated-healthcare-data-breach-notice.pdf> from Calibrated, containing information about the incident, details of the investigations, and contact information for inquiries. Additionally, the letters will provide instructions on how to enroll in the free credit monitoring and identity protection services offered, as well as guidance on monitoring their accounts with credit reporting bureaus.<https://www.healthnet.com/content/healthnet/en_us/news-center/news-releases/cyber-accellion.html>
