In calendar year 2025, UC will conduct a Family Member Eligibility Reverification to confirm the continuing eligibility of family members previously verified by employees and retirees.  This means employees will be required to again provide documentation of dependent's eligibility for the UC benefit plans.

The reverification includes spouses, domestic partners, stepchildren, grandchildren/step-grandchildren, legal wards and overaged disabled children.  Some dependent relationships may change over time, and FMEV Reverification ensures that UC uses its benefits resources wisely so that only those family members who are eligible remain enrolled. Dependents already verified from January 1, 2022, forward will be exempt from reverification.

UC's FMEV vendor, UnifyHR, will reach out to employees in March through December of 2025 to request the necessary documents. Documents required for reverification differ from those required for the initial verification. Employees will receive a mailed packet from UnifyHR with all details regarding the verification process.  Please call UnifyHR at 1-844-718-3970 for additional information.
