On April 18, 2024, Health Net reported a data breach in the "Email Us" feature within their member portal.  The attached "Notice of Possible Data Breach<https://hr.ucr.edu/sites/default/files/2024-04/notice-of-possible-data-breach.pdf>" notifies affected members that in some cases, this issue caused email exchanges in the Health Net system to be mixed with the emails sent to other members.  The emails were transmitted between August 2022 and December 2023.

The attached letter was mailed on February 20, 2024 to the 60 UC Blue & Gold HMO and 22 UC Postdoctoral Scholars plan members who were impacted by this breach.

Corrective actions were taken to address vulnerabilities and safeguard data integrity. A list of involved information is included in the letter. Members who receive Explanation of Benefits (EOB) for services that they do not recognize are advised to contact Health Net at the number listed on the back of their health ID cards.
