Beginning November 1, 2023, the Postdoctoral Scholars Health Net Out-of-State PPO plan network will transition from First Health to Cigna Healthcare PPO network.  Currently, Out-of-State PPO plan members use the First Health network when accessing care within and outside of California.  Under the arrangement with Cigna, these members will access the Health Net network while in California and the Cigna Healthcare PPO network outside of California.

The member letter<https://hr.ucr.edu/sites/default/files/2023-09/Member%20Letter_%20CA%20PPO%20to%20Cigna%20Healthcare%20PPO_FINAL.pdf> is being sent through the week ending September 1, 2023. New medical ID cards will be mailed on or around October 15, 2023.

Prior to November 1, 2023, members can search Cigna providers, hospitals, and care centers on www.cigna.com<http://www.cigna.com>.  Beginning November 1, 2023, they can search the National PPO Network on www.healthnet.com<http://www.healthnet.com>.   Additional instructions on locating a Cigna provider are included in the member letter.
