Supplemental Health Plans - Aflac transition to Prudential

DBRs, please share this important information with your department via your internal listserv.

The administration of the Supplemental Health Plans is transitioning from Aflac to Prudential, with Aflac set to terminate on December 31, 2023, and Prudential becoming effective on January 1, 2024.

To assist employees during this transition, UCOP has prepared FAQs<https://hr.ucr.edu/sites/default/files/2023-11/FAQ%20-%20Aflac%20Transition.pdf> to address common questions and provide clarity about the termination of Aflac and the commencement of Prudential.

Also, UC Plus recently sent a notification to enrolled employees outlining an overview of the transition and instructions for filing claims with Aflac.
