Correction to UCPath Notice: 2024 Open Enrollment – Flexible Spending (FSA) Account   Reminder

DBRs, please share this important information with your department via your internal listserv.

The UCPath Center sent the reminder below to approximately 33,800 employees.  The message was intended for only those employees who are currently enrolled in a Flexible Spending Account (Health or DepCare) and had not yet enrolled for 2024; however, the message was sent to all participants regardless of whether they updated their elections for 2024.

The UCPath Center is drafting an email to the approximately 5,500 FSA participants who have already enrolled for 2024, advising them to disregard the earlier message.

The UCPath Center apologizes for this error and the confusion it has caused.

UCPath Notice: 2024 Open Enrollment – Flexible Spending (FSA) Account Reminder


Hello,


UCPath’s records indicate that you enrolled in the Health and/or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account(s) (FSA) for the 2023 plan year. However, as of this morning, you have not re-enrolled for 2024.



As a reminder, FSA elections do not automatically continue the following year. You must re-enroll each calendar year in UCPath during the open enrollment period. FSA elections for 2024 must be completed by Thursday, November 17, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.



If you logged onto UCPath and submitted elections today, please disregard this notice. You can confirm that your elections have been submitted by reviewing your open enrollment event. If the event reflects a “Submitted” status, no further action is required.
