Anthem Blue Cross’ Accolade Service – ‘Find Care’ Tool Error
On January 11, 2023, Accolade, the Anthem Blue Cross health plan assistance resource for members, discovered that its Find Care tool, used to search for providers, was erroneously displaying Tier 2 Anthem PPO providers as Tier 1. It is not yet clear how widespread the issue is or when the incorrect provider labeling began. Accolade is actively researching the root cause and timing.

In the meantime, Accolade has disabled the Find Care tool on both the mobile app and online portal.  Until the issue has been resolved, all Anthem non-Medicare PPO plan members should be instructed to contact Accolade directly for assistance with finding a provider. Members can either call their Health Assistant line at 1-866-406-1182 or send a message through the Accolade app.
