2023 Flexible Spending Accounts Summary Plan Descriptions





Please find links below to the updated Flexible Spending Account Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) for the 2023 plan year for faculty, staff, and postdoctoral scholars.  The booklets outline new plan rules for the 2023 plan year. All plan changes are effective January 1, 2023.



The Dependent Care and Health Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) for Postdoctoral Scholars are new this year.



Please note that each SPD has a section titled "Midyear Changes Allowed" which describe the FSA options allowed due to mid-year changes in status, such as when an employee is terminated then rehired, or transfers from the postdoc benefit program to the faculty/staff benefit program.  The mid-year plan changes allowed appear in each of the SPDs on the booklet pages noted below:
