The HR Benefits Office would like to invite Department Benefits Representatives to attend the New Employee Benefits Onboarding workshop. This training session will introduce the new virtual Employee Benefits Onboarding presentation. The virtual presentation offers the flexibility to review benefits information at any given time and as often as needed; it may also be used during onboarding meetings with newly hired employees.

The workshop will review the HR Benefits website tools which will provide assistance and guidance for new employees who are required to make:

*        Benefit elections within 31 days

*        Pension plan elections within the first 90 days of employment

During the workshop, information will be provided regarding employee access to:

*        New Employee Financial Planning and Retirement Orientation webpage

*        Helpful and informative webinars

*        Vendor contacts

*        Valuable benefits offerings not shared or administered by the UCPath Center

The presentation and the New Faculty and Staff webpage<https://hr.ucr.edu/total-compensation/benefits-belonging/new-faculty-and-staff> contains information that allows employees to reach out directly to UC Retirement Plan Representatives and other benefit representatives who can thoroughly explain pension plan options and assist with making final selections based on employee needs.
