[UCR IT Staff] UC Tech 2021 - Registration Open

Dear UCR-wide IT staff:



UC Tech is the annual University of California Technology Conference (formerly known as the University of California Computing Services Conference - UCCSC). UCTech brings around 700 IT professionals, from across the University of California, together to share knowledge to better support our Universities.  UCTech welcomes all UC staff and faculty who have an association with or interest in information technology. Subjects for presentations are generally intended for IT professionals, but numerous sessions cover broader subjects: project management, service delivery, procurement, etc. Participants include technical support staff, system administrators, unit directors and managers, librarians, information security experts, service managers, and others. If you want to learn how other campuses address technology issues and challenges or build a network of professional IT colleagues from the UC system, you should attend UCTech 2021.

The conference is online and being held August 9 – 11, 2021.  It is FREE to all attendees.  If you are interested in attending the UCTech Conference please discuss your interest with your supervisor and get their approval before registering for the conference. The conference will be completely online. We had hoped to see you in person in Los Angeles, but there's still too much uncertainty regarding COVID procedures. (On the bright side: no travel costs, no lodging costs.) We will be using the vFairs events platform and Zoom for sessions.

Cost

Thanks to the support of our generous sponsors that have stuck with us, we are able to waive the registration cost for ALL ATTENDEES. Please plan to visit the sponsors in their virtual booths during the Sponsor Hall hours!

Swag

The first 725 to register and provide a mailing address will get a swag package in the mail. If you do not want the swag, skip the address fields on the reg form.

Registration

You must login on the website to access the registration form. If you created an account at uctech.ucla.edu<https://uctech.ucla.edu> already, your login should still work. Just login<https://uctech.ucla.edu/user/login>, go to the event registration form<https://uctech.ucla.edu/form/uc-tech-aug-2021-conf>, edit your profile (optional), enter ADA needs (optional), enter swag address (optional), and SUBMIT.



You must register in order to attend the event. Creation of an account on the site is just the first step, but does not complete your registration. If you registered to attend last year’s events, you still need to register to attend this year's conference.



If you do not yet have an account at uctech.ucla.edu, your first step is to create an account and user profile<https://uctech.ucla.edu/user/register>. Then you will wait for the account to be approved and then come back and register for the event once you are able to login.
