<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">The Cultural Awareness Project is a social justice/cultural competency workshop series that was started in Spring of 2016 by the Office of Student Life in an effort to positively impact cultural competency
and campus climate at UCR. This series has seen great success as it nears its fifth year and we are bringing it back this coming Winter 2021 in a remote format. The Cultural Awareness Project provides students the opportunity to explore their identity and
how it shapes their experience, learn more about institutional oppression and its real effects, and how we can all positively affect campus climate. Any currently registered UCR student can join. Everyone goes through their own identity development experience—this
series is open to all students regardless of their familiarity with social justice work. The series is made up of three workshops and we ask that all students who sign up attend all three: January 19<sup>th</sup>, January 26<sup>th</sup> and February 2<sup>nd</sup>
