We are accepting nominations for the 2026 Highlander Well-being Connect
(HWC) Program. We are seeking outstanding students to serve as Near-Peer
Mentors for the upcoming cohort.

Position Details:

- Role: Near-Peer Mentor (Student Assistant 2)
- Pay: $20 per hour
- Schedule: At least 2 days per week (approx. 10–12 hours per week) and a
weekly team meeting
- Modality: On-site
- Timeline: April 15, 2026 – September 15, 2026 (Tentative)
- Training: Mandatory 4-hour session in April 2026

Nomination Process:
Current UCR undergraduate or graduate students are eligible. If you would
like to nominiate yourself, please email studentwellbeing at ucr.edu by EOD
April 2, 2026.

Please include the following information in the email:

- Student Name & Email
- Year/Class Standing & Major
- Your group/dept/organization affiliation
- Availability for program participation
- A brief statement on why you would be a good candidate
