SCHEDULE YOUR FINAL EXAMS
Remember to visit rability.ucr.edu<http://rability.ucr.edu/> to request to use your accommodations this quarter! This allows SDRC staff to review your request, identify anything that may require SDRC assistance, and provide guidance to the faculty or student. The University needs to track exams given with accommodations to ensure that accessibility is being provided.

To protect your rights, please follow the established process in accessing approved accommodations<https://sdrc.ucr.edu/steps-accessing-approved-accommodations>. The SDRC can only support official accommodation requests submitted through R'Ability<https://rability.ucr.edu/>. If arrangements are coordinated outside of the official SDRC process, you risk not receiving your SDRC-approved accommodations in a timely manner or not in a manner appropriate to your situation. Submitting your exam information allows SDRC to effectively advocate for you when
necessary.

Requesting exam accommodations via R'Ability:

a. Go to <https://rability.ucr.edu/clockwork/custom/misc/index> rability.ucr.edu<https://rability.ucr.edu/clockwork/custom/misc/index>, select "Student Portal", Send your Quarterly Letters to Faculty.

b. Select Test or Final Exam Requests must be completed at least 10 days before scheduled exams, and at least 14 days before exams during Finals Week.

c. Please make sure exam times/dates match the class exam time/dates.

d. Look at "View Your Calendar" for confirmation of upcoming exam requests.

e. If you have any questions regarding test-taking arrangements or need assistance requesting to use your accommodations in R'Ability, contact sdrc-exams at ucr.edu<mailto:sdrc-exams at ucr.edu>, website for the Student Test Booking Tutorial<https://view.officeapps.live.com/op/view.aspx?src=https%3A%2F%2Flive-ucr-sdrc.pantheonsite.io%2Fsites%2Fdefault%2Ffiles%2F2022-09%2Fmodule-student-test-booking_accessible.pptx&wdOrigin=BROWSELINK>, or stop by our office during regular business hours.

  *   Late Exam Request Process
     *   The SDRC Testing Center does not accept late exam requests via email. If you miss the cutoff for scheduling any exam(s), you will need to visit the Testing Center lobby in-person for support with this process (Student Services Bldg, Room 1213 next to the elevators)

     *   You may visit the testing center for the late exam request during operating hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Upon your arrival, we will make sure the exam is at least within 3 business days from the date when you are filling out the form and you will fill out the form with the exam information. Furthermore, instructions on how to use the the R'Ability Exam Scheduling Process will be reviewed so that you will not need to use late request process in future, except for extraordinary circumstances.

        *   Late exam requests are reviewed on a first come, first serve basis. Please keep in mind that submitting a late exam request does not guarantee that you will be accommodated for the exam.

        *   If your request is approved, you will be notified via Email and your R'Ability Calendar will reflect the exam information.

        *   Reminder that there is a 10-day cutoff for exams taking place Weeks 0-10 and a 14-day cutoff for final exams.

The Inclusive Health Expo
Join the SDRC and Student Health Services at the Inclusive Health Expo next Wednesday, March 6th from 3PM - 4:30PM at the Student Health and Counseling Center Conference Rooms to:

  *   Learn about the SDRC, SHS, and other Health, Well-being, & Safety programs
  *   Learn how to access and use SDRC and SHS services
  *   See live demonstrations on accessible technology
  *   Participate in activities, games, and more
  *   Opportunity to get free giveaways
  *   Enjoy light refreshments
  *   Even Scotty will be stopping by!
  *   And more!

Disability Ally Workshop
The Student Disability Resource Center is offering its campus wide training entitled the Disability Ally Workshop on Tuesday, March 12, at 9AM.

This program seeks to facilitate awareness, understanding, and competency of disability through connecting faculty, staff, and students with resources, knowledge, and relationships of disability as diversity. Participants in this program will gain knowledge about what it means to truly be an ally for students with disabilities.

Topics covered include:

  *   Disability Law
  *   Academic Accommodations
  *   Disability Etiquette
  *   Hidden Disabilities
  *   Disability Demographics
  *   & a Student Panel

Participants will also receive a Disability Ally placard that they can place in their office notifying that they are a safe space for individuals with disabilities.

Culture and Climate Action Fair
This event is designed to celebrate and explore the historical and ongoing contributions of local BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities in the Inland Empire to the climate action movement.
The Culture and Climate Action Fair will feature cultural performances, educational presentations, and food to engage and educate attendees.
ISC3's objective (Inland Southern California Climate Collaborative) is to provide a platform for local residents to educate others about the environmental challenges they face and to emphasize that these issues are not isolated and will impact everyone in the long run.
By leveraging our diverse perspectives, experiences, and expertise, we can come together collectively to forge a path towards a more sustainable and equitable future for all.

The Culture and Climate Action Fair will take place Wednesday, April 10, from 11AM to 3PM.

Spotlight on Technology:
Glean Note Taking Tool

Do you have note taking accommodation? Audio record in the classroom?

Glean may be a useful tool in your box of resources.

Glean allows students to record, playback, and add notes at their own pace, as well as encourages returning to notes for further study. View the Glean Explainer Video<https://glean.co/solutions/recommend-glean> to see if this tool may work for you (this video runs for 3 minutes, 16 secs).
