[Ucr-sdrc] SDRC Testing Center Updates

Good Afternoon,

The Student Disability Resource Center (SDRC) Testing Center would like to welcome the continuing and new students to Fall Quarter 2022! We would like to share with you updates that will be effective immediately:

  *   A REMINDER that students with exam accommodations need to use R'Ability<https://rability.ucr.edu/clockwork/custom/misc/index> to schedule their exams. If you do not remember how to use R'Ability, need a refresher, or have trouble using it:
     *   Review the Tutorial<https://sdrc.ucr.edu/rability> on how to book your exam with accommodations.
     *   Visit the SDRC or SDRC Testing Center for an in-person tutorial on how to use R'Ability.
  *   Late Exam Request Process
     *   Starting Fall 2022, the SDRC Testing Center will no longer be accepting late exam requests via email. If you miss the cutoff for scheduling any exam(s), you will need to visit the Testing Center lobby in-person for support with this process (Student Services Bldg, Room 1213 next to the elevators)
        *   Reminder that there is a 10-day cutoff for exams taking place Weeks 0-10 and a 14-day cutoff for final exams.
     *   Office hours for late exams requests are available at the following days/times, on a first come/first serve basis, pending availability of staff: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 4pm-5pm or Tuesdays and Thursday 9am-10am. Upon your arrival, we will have the late exam request form available for students to complete and submit. Further, instructions on how to use the the R'Ability Exam Scheduling Process will be reviewed so that student will not need to use late request process in future, except for extraordinary circumstances.
  *   Incentives for Scheduling Exams via R'Ability on-time
        *   Students who schedule their Fall 2022 exams via R'Ability within the first 3 weeks of the quarter (9/22-10/14) will automatically be entered into a drawing to possibly WIN one the following prizes: $10 Dining Cards (10) or $50 Bookstore gift card (1)
           *   One entry per exam scheduled
           *   The drawing will take place on Monday, October 17th and the winners will be contacted via email
           *   If you need a refresher on how to schedule exams, visit this link https://sdrc.ucr.edu/rability and view the "R'Ability Training: Student Test Booking" file
  *   Treats with the Testing Center
        *   The Testing Center staff is excited to launch "Tuesday Treats with the Testing Center" starting October 2022. The goal of this drop-in event is to provide one-to-one support for SDRC students who need assistance with processing time-sensitive items via R'Ability: sending Quarterly Faculty Letters and/or Scheduling of Exams every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.
           *   Location: Testing Center lobby (Student Services Bldg, Room 1213 next to the elevators).
           *   Dates: 10/4, 10/18, 11/1 and 11/15
           *   Time: 10:30am-12pm
