[Ucr-sdrc] Neurodiversity Social Mixers: Winter Quarter Series

Hello SDRC Students,

Neurodiversity Social Mixers are back this quarter.  We hope to see you!

Objective:
The goal of the Neurodiversity Social Mixers (NSM) is to provide support for UCR students who identify as Neurodivergent, Autistic, Asperger, ADHD or for any student with neurological processing differences seeking social connections while improving their individual skills as a college student.

  *   The NSM will provide an inclusive safe space for students to connect.
  *   The NSM will assist students with exploring alternative communication, when faced with barriers.
  *   The NSM with provide students an opportunity to practice a skill(s) which may impact their school performance.
  *   By participating, neurodivergent students will have a platform for infinite connections and success at UCR.

New Year, New Quarter, New Goals

  *   Wednesday 1/12/2022 from 4-5:00 pm: Ready Set Goals!
Come learn the important of planning a goals this quarter.
Identify one goal you would like to achieve this quarter and get assistance on writing your goal in achievable small steps.


  *   Wednesday 1/26/2022 from 4-5:00 pm: Vision Board Time
Now that you identified your goal (s) let's get creative with a visual reminder of what we want to accomplish this quarter or this year.
Come create a digital vision board!

Friendship February

  *   Wednesday 2/9/2022 from 4-5:00 pm: Love Relationship on the Spectrum
What is love? What is a relationship? Let's discuss the different perspectives on communicating emotional needs in a relationship.


  *   Wednesday 2/23/2022 from 4-5:00 pm: Post Valentine Virtual Gaming
A time to relax, play a virtual game and get to know your peers.

March Madness Wrapping up the Winter Quarter

  *   Wednesday 3/9/2022 from 4-5:00 pm: Pomodoro Technique Study Block
A Virtual space to study and implement the tools learned this quarter.
