UCR PEERS(r) Lite

PEERS Lite will run as a 4-week pilot program, originally the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS(r)) for Young Adults is a 16-week evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated young adults between 18-38 years of age who are interested in learning skills to make and keep friends and develop romantic relationships.
This internationally acclaimed program was originally developed at UCLA by PEERS(r) Clinic Founding Director, Dr. Elizabeth Laugeson. During each group session, young adults are taught important social skills and are given the opportunity to practice these skills. PEERS(r) may be appropriate for young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression or other social and behavioral disorders.
Young Adults will learn about:

*         Conversational Skills
*         Relationship Building
*         Appropriate Use of Humor
*         Electronic Communication (Tentative)

This 4-week FREE pilot program is seeking UCR students who:

*         Identify as Autistic or on the Spectrum
*         Are socially motivated
*         Strong ability to self-direct
*         Commit to attending 1.5 hour weekly sessions for 4 weeks
*         Cohort will start on Friday May 6th through May 27th
*         Cohort will meet every Friday from 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
*         Must commit to attend all 4 meetings
