Do you have questions about using or requesting approved accommodations? If so, please call 951-827-3861 or email sdrc at ucr.edu<mailto:sdrc at ucr.edu>.
Accommodation requests
Please remember to visit rability.ucr.edu<https://rability.ucr.edu/clockwork/custom/misc/index> to request to use accommodations for any remaining exams this quarter. This allows SDRC staff to review your request, identify anything that may require SDRC assistance, and provide guidance to the faculty or student. The University needs to track exams given with accommodations to ensure that accessibility is being provided.
To protect your rights, please follow the established process in accessing approved accommodations (https://sdrc.ucr.edu/steps-accessing-approved-accommodations). The SDRC can only support official accommodation requests submitted through R'Ability (https://rability.ucr.edu). If arrangements are coordinated outside of the official SDRC process, you risk not receiving your SDRC-approved accommodations in a timely manner or not in a manner appropriate to your situation. Submitting your exam information allows SDRC to effectively advocate for you when necessary.
 Please see below for instructions:
 Requesting exam accommodations via R'Ability:
a. Go to rability.ucr.edu<https://rability.ucr.edu/clockwork/custom/misc/index>, select "Student Portal", select Test or Final Exam.
b. Requests must be completed at least 10 days before scheduled exams, and at least 14 days before exams during Finals Week.
c. Please make sure exam times/dates match the class exam time/dates.
d. Look at "View Your Calendar" for confirmation of upcoming exam requests.
e. If you have any questions regarding test-taking arrangements or need assistance requesting to use your accommodations in R'Ability, , contact sdrc-exams at ucr.edu<mailto:sdrc-exams at ucr.edu>

Almost $1700 Raised! Thank you!
During UCR's Day of Giving on December 1, 2020, SDRC was able to raise almost $1700 for accessible technology, for such items as app licenses, software licenses, Smart Pens, and other technology used in assisting students with disabilities. The donations came from faculty, staff, alumni, community members and students such yourselves! Individual donations ranged from $5 to $500. If you contributed to this effort, the SDRC staff would like to extend a big "Thank You". While the need is great, every contribution helps us at SDRC to help students bridge the gap between access to success!

SDRC Student Advisory Board - Applications still being accepted!
SDRC is forming a new student advisory board. The SDRC Student Advisory Board provides a student voice to the administration of student disability services regarding policies and procedures that govern the operation of SDRC. The role of the Student Advisory Board is to provide effective feedback on updates to services provided by SDRC staff and to provide suggestions for improvements to service delivery and general campus access. All final decisions about implementation of suggestions will remain with the professionals providing the services, with respect to legal requirements, university policies, service priorities, and the availability of resources and staffing.
Note: The Student Advisory Board does not address individual student or faculty concerns with SDRC. Individual concerns should follow the formal methods of reporting their concerns to the appropriate SDRC staff or campus ADA coordinator and to actively participate in the process to resolve the concerns as per policies and procedures related to disability accommodations and grievances.
