The Roadrunners are based at California State University, Bakersfield, which is centrally established on a 375-acre property in the southern San Joaquin Valley. In the current economic climate, CSUB is a great deal. For the cost of a public school, you can obtain all the advantages of a private institution, including small class numbers, leading edge research, and superb instructors. The university has been recognized by Washington Monthly as a "Best Bang for the Buck" school in the Eastern Region and by Great Value College as a top affordable university with a strong return on investment.
