Clinical psychologists also need to understand the establishment and maintenance of therapeutic relationships and communication with a broad diversity of populations.</strong><br>

You must earn a doctoral degree within the field of psychology from an accredited institution. The degree will include an internship that should focus on earning a minimum of 1,500 supervised clinical hours. The hours will vary depending on the program. Candidates are expected to have two to three years of experience within clinical mental health before undertaking a Clinical Psychologist role. Many Clinical Psychologists gain experience in Assistant Psychologist positions.
