About:
Founded in 1947, California State University is a comprehensive public university located in the heart of Los Angeles, California. Its seven colleges offer 100 academic programs in 55 majors for graduate and undergraduate programs across a wide range of disciplines. Nationally-recognized programs include business, engineering and nursing. California State University acceptance rate is 90.5%, which makes it a less selective university. All applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit proof of English Language Proficiency before an admissions decision can be made. The minimum GPA requirements for Non-California residents that are graduates of non-CA high schools is 3.00 GPA. Popularly known as Cal State LA, this university is home to 26,000 students, with more than 500 international students. In 2023, it is ranked #1201-1400 in QS World University Rankings. The tuition fee for UG courses in the California State University is approximately 14.5 L in the first academic
year for international students. The cost of living (inclusive of housing and meals) sums up to about $18,684 annually. California State University has been a leader in providing high-quality higher education for 70 years and now counts more than 250,000 alumni.

Career of the Month: Creative Director

A Creative Director is the lead of a creative team and responsible for keeping a project, film, or brand campaign aligned with a cohesive visual style. When we think of what’s a Creative Director, we tend to think of an executive role. But this work is also highly collaborative and requires not only leading a team well but also taking direction from other directors and managers. A skilled CD will not only have a great vision, they will excel at listening to and nurturing the creative ideas of other people.

Creative directors plan and design the layout of content for print and digital publications, and marketing and advertising campaigns. This can involve formulating and executing a creative vision for their employer's products and branding. They're also responsible for making sure that all content a company produces aligns with its vision. They typically lead a team of administrators and artists that work to produce and distribute content.  The main duties of a CD are the following: they handle creative projects of the company and assists the creative team in developing ideas. A CD decides deadlines for the project and makes sure that the creative team is getting enough infrastructure to complete the project. A CD also decides budgets for the project. Creative directors should posses a degree in any arts related field such as graphic designing, fashion designing, photography, etc. People who purse degree in mass communications also have opportunities to work as creative directors. Experience
of 4-5 years is also mandatory as this is a senior position. Salaries of creative directors vary depending upon the size of the organization, experience and state. The average salary paid for these professionals range from $62,782 to $115,562.
