[Ubpeers] Tutoring / Study Hall

Hi everyone....

The Upward Bound Tutoring Program (also called Study Hall) will begin on Monday, November 27, 2023.  Students are welcome to attend any virtual session that fits their schedule. The same zoom link will be used for all sessions.

The virtual schedule is as follows:

Mondays:            Via ZOOM from 3:45 pm to 8:00 pm.
Tuesdays:            Via ZOOM from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Wednesdays:     Via ZOOM from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The in-person schedule is as follows:

Tuesdays:            Colton High School from 3:45 pm to 6:00 pm in Building 300.

Our 2023-24 tutors will be David Chavez-Barragan and Elizabeth Benitez. Both of their pictures are attached to this email.


  *   David is a 2nd year Mechanical Engineering major at UCR. He can tutor a variety of subjects, including AP Calculus, Math 1-3, Chemistry, Physics, and Spanish.  He is a first-generation student from Pomona, California and graduated from Pomona High School.  His hobbies include sports and various outdoor activities.
  *   Elizabeth is a 2nd year Psychology major at UCR (and former Upward Bound student!) who can tutor a variety of subjects, including AP Calculus, Math 1-3, Chemistry, Physics, and English.  She is a first-generation student from Riverside, California and graduated from Patriot High School. Her hobbies include reading novels and playing with her dogs.
