Study Hall is a great resource that can help you begin to develop necessary study skills for college. Although students with a low grade [D or F] or low GPA [Below 3.0] are required to attend, everyone can enhance their academic profiles by using the free tutoring Upward Bound provides. We hope to see you there!

February Checklist
Seniors, please take a look at the list below to make sure you are staying on top of your monthly tasks. Check your college portals for emails and college acceptances. Reach out to the UB Staff if you have any questions.

Check your email at least once a week

  *   The schools you applied to might send important information to your email regarding additional information they might need from you. Check emails often to make sure you don’t miss an important deadline! You may also receive early admission emails.

Apply for Scholarships

  *   Now is a great time to start applying for scholarships! Check in with your Career Counselor for local scholarships and check out the ones in our scholarship section.

Letters of Recommendation

  *   These letters help you when you are applying to internships, jobs, college programs, and scholarships. You can always ask us to write you a letter too.

Plan a visit or virtual tour

  *   Now that colleges are opening back up they are starting to give tours to incoming students. There are also virtual tours you can take on the college websites, or recommend a field trip there.

Contact us for any questions you may have and share if you’ve been admitted to any schools so that we can walk you through the next steps!
