A new title in the new Asia Past & Present (APP) series is now available: “Modern Short Fiction of Southeast Asia: A Literary History,” edited by Teri Yamada of California State University, Long Beach, surveys the historical and cultural significance of modern short fiction in nine Southeast Asian nations—Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
