  Dear Colleagues:

The latest Hmong Studies newsletter is available for viewing at:

It contains news of 23 recent publications in the field (I think this may be
a new record for the newsletter, it truly is a vibrant time for research in
Hmong Studies). As always, if any of these publications strikes a particular
chord of interest please feel free to drop me a line and I will help you
obtain a copy. All of these dissertations and articles will also soon be
available in Hmong Cultural Center's Resource Center Library in Saint Paul.

The newsletter is jampacked with lots of other news as well including
information about a special event in May at the Hmong Cultural Center in
Saint Paul to celebrate the release of Cooking for the Heart: The Hmong
Kitchen in America by the University of Minnesota Press. This will event
will feature author readings, live cultural performances and free samples of
Hmong recipes included in the new volume.
