For decades countries in Southeast Asian Region have been through number of crisis, political, financial and terrorism to name some. Every time a crisis occurs media has played crucial roles in stimulating, lightening or worsening the situation. Reciprocally, the crisis itself affects the media to a great deal in terms of content, format, and structure. The obvious examples are the emergence of free media like Malaysiakini of Malaysia and ASTV of Thailand. Adding to that the information during the crisis always affects the image of the countries and her people attitudes.
