The Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (Singapore) is organizing a conference on "Religion in Southeast Asian Politics: Resistance, Negotiation and Transcendence" on December 11-12, 2008. We are inviting potential participants to submit abstracts that address the intersections between the state and religion (institutionalized or otherwise) in Vietnam. Those interested are encouraged to write Dr Yew-Foong Hui (yfhui at iseas.edu.sg) for the "Call for Paper" ASAP, as the deadline for abstract submission is approaching very soon. Selected paper presenters will be provided with partial funding for travel and accommodations.
