[Tlc] C-SEA Digital Library Project and Historical Photos of Cambodia

When May Ebihara passed away in 2005, she left me her photographs from her original research in 1959-60, photos from her later follow up research and her research notes.  With funding from a NIU Foundation Venture grant the early photos have now all been scanned and become part of the Southeast Asia Digital Library Project.  The photos are now up at: http://sea.lib.nu.edu/images.html , click on Historical Photographs of Cambodia, and then on the May Ebihara Collection.  I have just finished editing the data base this week and the changes have not yet been entered in the on-line version, but should be soon.  The captions to all the 1959-60 photos are taken directly from May's photo log book.  There are also some photos from her 1989 first revisit to the village where she conducted her field work in Kandal Province. There are 1317 images in all. The transliteration of Khmer terms follows May's original notes except that we have NOT been able to use all of her diacritics; for exa!
