MEETING AGENDA (7:00-9:00)

1) This year's meeting will start with a talk "Anthropological
Research in Cambodia:  New and On-going Projects" presented by
Dr. Judy Ledgerwood. This talk is the second in
the TLC "discipline series." This year's focus is
"Anthropology." At the business meeting we will open the floor
to ideas for next year's
"discipline" (Ethnomusicology, Political Science, Linguistics,
Development Studies, Economics, etc.). 

2) Presentation on the new activities of the Center for Khmer
Studies (CKS)

3) Floor open to those who want to address concerns about the
lack of Southeast Asian Studies representation in the JAS.

4) Floor open to suggestions of ways to attract those in the
fields of Art History and Archaeology back to the TLC and AAS
in general. There are no significant panels in these fields at
the Boston meeting.

5) Call for panel ideas for a T/L/C sponsored panel. This
year's TLC-Panel is: Thai Buddhists at Bay? Confronting the
Southern Conflict - Sponsored by the Thailand/Laos/Cambodia
Group (Chair: Duncan McCargo, National University of
Singapore) This is certainly not the only panel that has
Cambodian, Lao, and Thai Studies papers. I also encourage TLC
members to see the list of panels below.

7) Member news--we have lots of new members!

8) Nominations and Elections:
*Continuing Executive Committee Members (2005-2007): Chhany
Sak-Humphry (University of Hawaii), Cavarlee Cary (UC
Berkeley), Susan Kepner (UC Berkeley), Gregory Green (Cornell
University).

*This year there will be a call for nominations to replace
three executive committee members: Henry Delcore
(California State University at Fresno), Tamara Loos (Cornell
University), John Marston (El Colegio de México) 

9) Announcements (Please come with any information on upcoming
conferences, fellowship opportunities, performances, archive
openings, etc. that you would like to bring to the attention
of the TLC membership. If you send me these announcements I
will also post them on the TLC website).

10) Call for donations for the Ingrid Muan Graduate Traveling
Fellowship.

11) Financial report.

12) Members announce new TLC related publications 

13) Floor open for any other announcemnts.
