University of Wisconsin--Job Announcement
The Religious Studies Program at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for a Visiting
Assistant Professor in the 2007-2008 academic year. The
successful applicant would be expected to teach two courses
each semester: one Asian religion survey, an introduction to
Buddhism, upper-division Buddhism course, and a fourth course
to be decided. Applications are invited in all areas of
Buddhist Studies, but especially applications from specialists
in the study of Theravada Buddhism. Salary is competitive and
will depend on experience and qualifications. Applicants
should send a letter of application with c.v. and copies of
teaching evaluations (if available) or other evidence of
teaching proficiency and arrange for three confidential
letters of reference to be sent, by February 15, to Quitman E.
Phillips, Director, Religious Studies Program, 1A Ingraham

Interviews will be held at the Annual Meeting of the Asso
ciation for Asian Studies n Boston in
