Here is a great opportunity (posted after this introduction)
for some
deserving scholar in the process of finishing their
dissertation.
The fellowship lasts for a year and, if all goes well, can
become a
tenure-track position.
While the announcement is fairly generic and is competitive
among a
number of departments on campus, I can add an important
detail. The
Dept. of Theology and Religious Studies is looking for a
minority
scholar who can teach Buddhist ethics, in addition to courses
on any
aspect of the Buddhist tradition.
Individuals who think they might apply for this fellowship
should
look at USF's website and read the mission statement, then try
to
integrate some of this language into their cover letter. Please
contact the Vice Provost's office directly if you have any
questions.
