A new government report has just been published highlighting
significant disparities among Asian American population groups
with regard to academic performance and finanical need. It
documents the unique challenges Southeast Asian immigrants and
their families face concerning higher eduction. These findings
should help college and university administrators make the
strongest possible case for supporting existing programs or
developing new ones aimed at assisting the most disadvantaged
of Asian Americans - in particular, Vietnamese, Cambodian, and
Laotian students and their families. Maybe there are folks on
your TLC list that would be interesting in learning about this
