Journalist, media mogul and People’s Alliance for Democracy
(PAD) leader Sondhi Limthongkul will discuss the situation in
Thailand both before and after the bloodless coup that took
place on September 19, 2006, and outsted Prime Minister
Thaksin Shinawatra.  He will also venture his opinions on the
future course of democracy in Thailand.

Sondhi Limthongkul is the founder of Manager Media and the
ASTV News1 television network.  He was instrumental in
organizing the PAD rally’s to oust former Prime Minister
Thaksin Shinawtra and contributed to ASTV News1’s coverage
highlighting the graft and corruption in the former
administration.

As an undergraduate, Mr. Sondhi studied history at UCLA, where
he became a reporter for the student newspaper, The Daily
Bruin, from 1966 to 1969.
