Call for Papers

Aims and Scope

Review of Development and Cooperation (RDC) is a refereed
journal published once a year by the Mekong Institute
Foundation and independently supported by an international
editorial board. The journal welcomes manuscripts in the
fields of growth and development initiated by development
assistance and cooperation that will be of interest to
academics, policy makers, planners, and researchers. Although
its focus is on the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS),
contributions from similar groupings that seek to promote
closer economic ties and development (with transborder
implications), and subregional economic cooperation to
facilitate sustainable economic growth and reduce poverty are
welcomed. Contributions can cover the range from applied
empirical research using primary and/or secondary data to
policy analysis that bear upon critical development issues
such as:

• Agriculture and Development
• Environment and Development
• Epidemics and Natural Disasters
• Finance and Development
• Governance
• Gender and Development
• Cross Border Health Issues (including HIV/AIDS)
• Labor Management (regional level)
• Public Sector and Policy Reform
• Millennium Development Goals

• Private Sector Development
• Social Reform
• Regional Infrastructure/Economic Corridor Development and
Management
• Natural Resource Management and Conservation
• Local Economic Development (including SMEs)
• Managing Donor Assistance for Sustainability

The principal criteria for acceptance are originality, rigor,
